Leek

guide_description

Leek is a market town located on the River Churnet in Staffordshire on the southern boundary of the Peak District. Most of the buildings in the town date from the Victorian period, when Leek was part of the clothing industry making a range of textiles.

One of the canal engineers, James Brindley built a water powered corn mill and the Brindley Water Mill and Museum now open to visitors.
